THE PHYTOGEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION AND DIVISION OF CROATIA

The Croatian territory belongs to the two forest region, and they are:
1. The mediterranean region

2. The Eurosiberian-Northamerican region

To this region belongs the area of eastadriatic littoral karst, which due to its specific quality belongs to a separate adriatic province of the Mediterranean region.

1.1.1 The euromediterranean zone of evergreen vegetation of the Quercion ilicis alliance

1.1.2. The submediterranean zone and the mediterranean-montane belt of deciduous
vegetation of the Ostryo-Carpinion alliance

2. THE EUROSIBIRIAN-NORTHAMERICAN REGION

To this region belong those parts of Croatia which belong to the two of its three provinces:
