2.1.2. The belt of mountain and submontane deciduous and coniferous woodlands


Above the lower forest belt of Carpinion betuli illyrico-podolicum alliance, in all mountain areas of Illyrian province one can find highly significant high-altitude areas of forest vegetation.
This belt can broken down into two major divisions:
2.1.2.1. The lower mountain vegetation belt
2.1.2.2. The upper submontane vegetation belt
