Taxonomic criteria

2.1. Criteria for the newly-described species on the territory of Croatia

2.1.1.
The first publication of the species must be effective according to the definition of the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature (Code)(Article 29-31).

2.1.2.

The first publication of the species has to be valid according to the definition of the International Botanical Nomenclature Code (Article 32- 45).

All other questionable cases that may occur should be solved according to VOSS (1972, 1983) and GREUTER et HIEPKO (1989).

2.2. Criteria for new findings of the already described species on the territory of Croatia

2.2.1.
The data on the first finding of a species on the territory of Croatia must be published in a scientific journal. The floristic data published in popular magazines shall undergo preliminary examination by the editor.

2.2.2.

A sample according to which a new finding is described should be available (located in a registered herbarium according to HOLMGREN et al. 1990).
