Internet Directory for Botany - Biologists' Addresses

• Addresses of Biologists - WAIS search of the BIOSCI user address database. In the beginning of the there were more than 7,000 addresses. You can enter your con tact information using the Address Entry Form for Research Biologists. Maintained at BIOSCI, which is a set of electronic communication forums - the bionet USENET newsgroups and parallel e-mail lists - used by biological scientists worldwide. No fees are charged for the service. BIOSCI is currently supported in the U.S. by a grant from DOE with equipment from NSF. The U.K. BIOSCI node is supported by the Daresbury Laboratory.
• Canadian Botanical Specialists and Literature. The information on Canadian Botanists has been compiled by E. Small, J. Cayouette, B. Brookes, and W. Wojtas of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Research Branch, Central Experimental Farm, Biological Resources Division, Ottawa.
• Community of Science Web Server. The Community of Science is designed to help you identify and locate researchers with interests and expertise similar to your own. It contains an on-line inventory of researchers, inventions, and facilities at leading U.S. and Canadian universities, and other R & D organizations. The Community of Science contains over 40,000 first-person expertise records, 5,000 inventions records, and 2,000 facilities records.
• Dendrome Forest Genetics Colleague Directory. The Dendrome project maintains a large directory of individuals and institutions interested in the molecular biology and genetics of forest trees. This includes the IUFRO World Directory of Forest Geneticists and Tree Breeders.
• Directories of Biologists and Biological Organizations page at Cornell, USA, gives information on persons working in/belonging to American Museum of Natural History (New York), American Society of Plant Taxonomists, Mycologists Online, British Museum of Natural History, Plant Taxonomists Online (PTO).
• Directory of readers of the Bean Bag from the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, UK.
• DIRTAX, a searchable directory of Spanish taxonomists, maintained in Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales, Madrid, Spain.

• Register of Finnish Researchers in Forest and Wood Sciences. A list maintained by the The Finnish Society of Forest Science.
