- American Association of Stratigraphic Palynologists
from the University of Toronto, Canada. AASP was established in
1967 by a group of 31 founding members to promote the science
of palynology. Today AASP has a world-wide membership of about
800 and is run by an executive comprising an elected Board of
Directors and subsidiary boards and committees.

- International Organization of Paleobotany.
The Secretariat of IOP, at the University of East London's Palaeobiology
Research Unit, comprises a group of people interested in past
environments and how their palaeobiology can be investigated.
Most of the work is palaeobotanical, and centres around the Plant Fossil Record Database.
This aims to get published records of fossil plants - pollen,
seeds, wood, flowers, leaves, and so on - into a form that computers
can search. Using computers to study past environments is a characteristic
common feature of the activities of the research group. Principal
Components Analysis and Cluster Analysis of palynological data,
and of semi-quantitative megafossil observations, are other important
activities of the group.IOP publishes IOP Newsletters
and maintains the Palaeo Talk
pages.

NOAA = National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, US Department
of Commerce. The NOAA/Paleoclimatology Program distributes the
product of various collaborative efforts to collect and organize
pollen records from around the globe. These data include pollen
counts and related information. In addition to the raw data, NOAA/Paleoclimatology
makes available several different derived data sets. - European Pollen Database (EPD)
