Arabidopsis thaliana Database (AtDB) project, in the Department
of Genetics at the School of Medicine, Stanford University, USA.
The goal of the current National Science Foundation-funded project
is to develop a prototype of the next generation of Arabidopsis
database. Arabidopsis Information Management System (AIMS).
Arabidopsis Information Management System (AIMS) is an NSF-funded
project directed by Professor Sakti Pramanik of Michigan State
University, USA.

of the Executive Branch of the Government of the United States
of America.

The world-wide web (WWW) server of the European Bioinformatics
Institute (EBI) which is located at Hinxton Hall near Cambridge
in the UK. The EBI is an Outstation of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory, EMBL,
located in Heidelberg, Germany.
- ExPASy Molecular Biology Server,
Switzerland.. Molecular biology server of the Geneva University
Hospital and the University of Geneva. This server is dedicated
to the analysis of protein and nucleic acid sequences as well
as 2-D PAGE.
- GrainGenes,
USA. GrainGenes is a compilation of molecular and phenotypic information
on wheat, barley, oats, rye, and sugarcane. The project is supported
by the USDA/NAL Plant Genome Research Program and by the community
of scientists who are providing the information and reasons to
be interested in it.

The Maize Genome Database or MaizeDB is currated as a relational
Sybase database, by the USDA Plant Genetics Unit located with
the College of Agriculture of the University of Missouri-Columbia,
USA, and provides user-friendly, Internet access to the maize
genome as the the basis for the biology of maize. Curated by Dr.
